Purely Botanical? Exhibition

In November this year COP26 ( United Nations - Climate Change Conference ) in Glasgow Scotland, will bring together the nations of the world for one of the most important international meetings for the future of our planet. COP26 has six major themes and the theme that is relevant to this exhibition is:

Nature - to safeguard and restore natural habitats and ecosystems to preserve the planet’s biodiversity.

Inspired by COP26 we are proud to release this exhibition which is focused on the crucial role that plants play in preserving the planet's health and biodiversity, no plants - no planet.

The title of the exhibition has been chosen because artists were asked to reflect on the role their chosen plant or plants play in maintaining the planet's biodiversity when under threat from a changing climate.

In a first for ABA, a juried number of the artists submissions will also be simultaneously exhibited in digital form in the prestigious Shirley Sherwood Gallery, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

We hope you enjoy this exhibition as we have enjoyed bringing together the really talented work of our members.
