During the pandemic I found filling a journal (that had good water colour paper) with my botanical paintings, plants mostly from my garden, very fulfilling. Each entry was executed to the best of my ability thus, being self taught, it gave me a way of 'self tuition' and an heirloom to leave to my daughter. (another book in the wings for another daughter). Indulging in this posting is by way of connecting with other artists as, as we know, it can be a lonely occupation - tho very absorbing and meditative and at times frustrating and confidence sapping. Thank you ABA. I feel honoured to be a member with this ever growing association. I recommend having a Botanical Journal to work with and on. About to start my second one.

Keeping a journal is such a great idea. I find it difficult to find a journal with hotpressed paper. Any suggestions as to who makes a good one and where I can find a supplier?
