For anyone who is interested, there is a short online course offered by the RBGE on Plants and Climate Change. I've just completed it and found it very informative and interesting. Science not being my strong point, it was helpful to have the scientific aspects explained in such a way that I
could understand it. It is also very visually appealing and broken down into sections giving time to think about what you have just read or listened to. Anyway, given the theme of ABBA's major exhibition this year and COP26 in November, I thought it was timely and relevant. There is even a lovely 'Statement of Participation' available on completion. Oh and the course is free and can be taken at your own pace.
Thank you for posting this Alison. Perhaps we can let more members know via Facebook.
I did this course last year. It was very interesting, particularly about how plants 'migrate' up mountains as the climate warms up. I also did the RBGE Introduction to Botany course, which was excellent as a beginner's botany course. (there is a charge for the botany course). Very visual and you can work at your own pace.
